On October 25, 2022, the Grand Cross of Merit was awarded, at the Residence of the First Counsellor, to Ambassador Louis Léon Boguy BONY.

This posthumous decoration, given to Madame Bony, his wife, in the presence of the family and friends of the deceased, was intended to be a tribute and a strong sign of thanks from the Order vis-à-vis this Ambassador; he had presented his credentials at the very beginning of 2022, and was working, particularly in this year of the Fiftieth Anniversary, to better concretize the existing relations between the two States.
