HEMm Maria DA CONCEIÇAO PILAR, who knew the Order very well when she was with the
Portuguese Protocol, received the Ambassador to discuss possible partnerships with
Portuguese industrialists and with the Portuguese association for the smooth running of the
St Jean-Baptiste hospital in Bodo.
The new United Nations coordinator, Madame Hélène N'GARMIN-GANGA, received us with the First Secretary; we discussed UNFPA support for obstetric fistula operations in 2025. The Coordinator should be able to move this project forward.
Ambassador de Viviès met Jean-Marc Yacé, Mayor of Cocody, to discuss the support envisaged by the President of Ordre de Malte France for a dispensary in the Cocody commune.
During his visit to the hospital, Ambassador de Viviès had the opportunity to speak with members of the Club Santé, organized by Business France and comprising most of Côte d'Ivoire's healthcare players. It was an opportunity to present the Sovereign Order of Malta and its many activities in Ivory Coast, notably at St Jean-Baptiste Hospital.
