HEM Ambassador de Viviès traveled to Rome from January 24 to 27, 2024, to attend the Order of Malta’s ambassadors’ meeting at the Magistral Villa, in the presence of the 81st Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, Fra John T. Dunlap.

More than a hundred ambassadors were present, providing an opportunity to exchange views on the various particularities of countries of residence, or non-residence, and to compare experiences.

It was also an opportunity for the Grand Magistry to give a general overview of the geopolitical situation, to present the major orientations in terms of ethics, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence, and to specify the guidelines in terms of protocol, communication and security. At the end of the conference, all the ambassadors were received by His Holiness Pope Francis.
