On September 20, Ambassador de Viviès was on hand at St Jean-Baptiste hospital to launch the maxillofacial surgery program carried out in partnership between the hospital and the Atef Omaïs Foundation, represented by its Secretary General, Mr Ramzy Omaïs. An initial pilot phase, led by Professor Emmanuel Konan of the Treichville University Hospital, had already enabled seven patients whose means did not allow such an operation to be performed. In future, the hospital’s infrastructure will make it possible to treat patients from the surrounding area, without having to bring them to Treichville.
