Visit to the Apostolic Nuncio
Mgr RUEDA BELTZ received HE the Ambassador of VIVIES with the First Secretary. The topics discussed during a working breakfast focused on the progress made at the St. Jean Baptiste Hospital and the St. Joseph Moscati Hospital in Yamoussoukro, and on support for the Sainte Thérèse dispensary in Koumassi, which is very active in the field of maternal and child health.

Visit to SOS Abidjan
On Thursday June 26, the company's Managing Director, Mr. Abbas Zahreddine, gave SEM Arnaud de Viviès and the First Councillor, Mr. Jean-François Albrecht, an overview of his company's personal rescue activities, organization and road and air equipment. SOS Abidjan had already benefited from training courses in France, and would like to host others, perhaps with the Order of Malta's Italian Emergency Corps. A visit to the hospital is planned in the near future, to see under what conditions a branch could be placed within our structure, and have our doctors provide the most urgent care.

Visit to the Swiss ambassador
During his meeting with SEM Arnaud de Viviès on June 25, SEM Dominique FAVRE spoke of the growing strength of the Swiss-Côte d'Ivoire Chamber of Commerce, which brings together more than 35 companies in the RCI, operating in fields as varied as cocoa, pharmaceuticals, finance and cement.

Visit to the First Lady
During his last visit, on June 24, SEM Arnaud de Viviès met Madame Dominique Ouattara, First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire; an opportunity to discuss a partnership with the Mère -Enfant Dominique Ouattara hospital in Bingerville, and also to request the First Lady's patronage for the Ordre de Malte's gala event in Côte d'Ivoire, scheduled for December 2025.

Visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs
SEM Kacou ADOM received SEM Arnaud de Viviès to discuss the possible arrival of an Order authority next December, and also to propose the study of a partnership between the Office National de la Protection Civile and the Order of Malta's Italian Relief Corps (CISOM).

Visit to the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Medical Center
SEM Arnaud de Viviès and the First Secretary visited the Ste Thérèse de l'Enfant Jesus medical center. This health center, located in the commune of Koumassi, near Abidjan, is run by the congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Ste Therese of the child Jesus. Run by four Colombian nuns and one Panamanian, the center specializes in HIV and all aspects of mother and child care. It has two laboratories, a pharmacy, a school canteen and a literacy center for 185 mothers. This center deserves to be supported by one of the Order's associations, with priority given to the French association.

10 years of St Jean-Baptiste Hospital and SMOM National Day
On June 20, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta celebrated both its 10th anniversary and its national holiday in Bodo. Two ministries were represented (Foreign Affairs and Health). A number of diplomats were also present, or represented, to attend the event, as were business leaders.

Meeting with the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire
A working meeting was held on June 24 at CGECI headquarters with Mr. Lamine Kone, Vice- President of this organization of Ivorian business leaders.
